Writing is not the same as speaking

It is a tremendous waste of time, when preparing for a job interview, to laboriously write out answers to hypothetical questions.

The only way to practice answering interview questions is verbally.  

Things sound different when you read them, than when you tell them.  In a piece of writing the repetition, circling back, little reminders of things, and tangent thoughts just wouldn't make the cut.  It is these things though that bring your answer to life and create connection.  

By all means make dot points to collect your thoughts, and use these dot points as you practice, but don't read out your answers.  You only end up putting undue pressure on yourself when you come to the live interview and you find it impossible to follow the script you prepared.
